Authorship Roles
Submission of correct author names, affiliations, and authorship roles are the sole responsibility of the submitting author. The submission will not proceed forward to preliminary editorial review until all authors have confirmed correct spelling, affiliation, authorship roles, and appropriateness of the complete author list (no authors inappropriately included or excluded from the list). No changes to authorship will be possible following preliminary editorial review. If changes are necessary the submission will be withdrawn and a new submission will need to be started.
Submitting and Corresponding Author
When publishing in Ad Physicus, the submitting author will also automatically be the corresponding author. The submitting and corresponding author has ultimate responsibility for the submitted work through all stages of pre- and post-publication. This author is the only author with editing privileges during the submission process. This author will be the primary point of contact with all Ad Physicus editorial staff. This author will be responsible for ensuring that all co-authors are properly and fairly represented throughout the submission and peer-review process. Finally, if all authors have signed the Publishing Royalty Agreement, the submitting and corresponding author will receive all funds generated by the submission per the Publishing Royalty Agreement.
Shared First Authorship or Shared Submitting/ Corresponding Authorship
Only one author is allowed to be the submitting and corresponding author, and only one author will hold the privileges and responsibilities of submitting and corresponding author. If the submitting and corresponding author is not the first author, and first authorship is requested to be shared, please indicate this in the acknowledgements section.
Senior Authorship
It is strongly recommended that all article submissions include at least one senior author with an advanced degree in the submission’s field of study. Advanced degrees include those greater than a Bachelor’s or Associates degree, specifically including but not limited to a Masters, PhD, MD, DO, DDS, DMD, JD, NP, PA, or RN. Any article submitted without an author with an advanced degree will undergo additional scrutiny for credibility and appropriateness for publication.
