Acquiring this expertise, devising hypothesis-driven research, collecting data, and compiling a manuscript that effectively communicates that data to your peers takes an incredible amount of skill, time, energy, and commitment. Your scientific manuscript is more than just a work report; it is a testament to your commitment to serving others through the advancement of our collective scientific literature.

Unfortunately, your reward for all this hard work is oftentimes a cumbersome and lengthy publication process that can be profoundly unfair to scientific authors. Modern scientific publishing not only expects you to give your manuscript away for free, but increasingly demands that you pay fees to an accepting journal before they will publish your work. These publishing practices exploit the goodwill and generosity of scientific authors and increasingly restrict access to academic publishing to those with strong financial means.

Here at Ad Physicus, we believe scientists deserve more. Your scientific work has tremendous value, and as the creator of that value you should share in its success. When you publish with Ad Physicus, you will receive royalties generated by paid access to your article. We also believe that access to your scientific work should be as unrestricted as possible. This is why we charge a nominal fee of $2 USD for lifetime access to any one of our published articles. By charging nominal article access fees and sharing royalties with scientific authors, we believe the current academic publishing paradigm can be evolved into a better system that fairly compensates scientists for their work and expertise, and incentivizes continued hard work and excellence within our scientific community.

Ad Physicus is an academic journal dedicated to the advancement of life sciences; but more importantly, we are dedicated to the scientists advancing the life sciences.
