Manuscript submission
Ad Physicus provides an easy-to-use online manuscript submission process that takes a submitting author through all the steps required for successful manuscript submission. Simply sign in to your Ad Physicus account, click on the “Submit Research” button, and the submission process will begin.
-
2
Co-author confirmation and submission approval
Once you have completed the submission process, your co-authors
will receive an email notifying them that an article has been submitted listing
them as co-authors. Each one of those co-authors must then complete the co-author
verification process which includes review of the submitted
manuscript, confirmation that the authorship does not inappropriately include or
exclude anyone, confirmation of conflicts of interest, and electronic signing of the Copyright Transfer Agreement and the Publication Royalty Agreement.
-
3
Preliminary Editorial Review
Once all co-authors have confirmed authorship, the manuscript
is sent to a member of our editorial board for preliminary review. If the editor
finds any errors or deficits in the submission, including in the appropriateness of
the proposed peer-reviewers, s/he may request that the submitting author revises the
submission appropriately, or may reject the submission. If the editor approves of
the submission, s/he will move the submission forward to peer-review.
-
4
Peer Review (need at least 2 completed peer reviews)
Once the preliminary editorial review is complete, the 5 or more peer-reviewers identified by the submitting author will receive emails inviting them to complete peer-review of your article. A minimum of 2 peer-reviews must be completed before peer-review is considered to be adequate. More than 2 completed peer-reviews is ideal.
-
5
Formal Editorial Review
Once a minimum of 2 peer-reviewers have completed their review of the submission, formal editorial review will begin. The reviewing editor will review the submission as well as the peer-reviewer comments and recommendations. The editor will not only be reviewing the submission for appropriateness, but also the peer-reviewer comments for appropriateness. If any peer-review is found to be inadequate, the submission will be sent back to STEP 4 for additional peer-review. If the peer-review and submission are found to be satisfactory, the peer-reviewer comments will be sent to the author for revisions and editing.
-
6
Manuscript revisions as necessary
The submitting author will receive the peer-reviewer comments and recommendations for improvement. The submitting author will be expected to address each of the peer-reviewer comments and make any and all changes to the submission they feel are warranted. Once the submitting author has completed these steps, the submission will be returned to the editor.
-
7
Editorial Approval and Copyediting
After receiving the revised submission, the editor will finally approve or reject the submission. If the submission is rejected, the submitting author will be notified. If the submission is approved, the editor will move the submission forward to copyediting and publication.
-
8
Publication
Once finally approved for publication, the manuscript will be copyedited and made immediately available (published) on the Ad Physicus website. The article will also be sent to research databases that index Ad Physicus.

Annual Disbursement of Profit Share to Submitting Author
If the submitting author and co-authors complete the Publication Royalty Agreement, then royalties generated by paid access to the published work will be disbursed to the submitting author on an annual basis per the terms of the Publication Royalty Agreement.
